Official Posts from Eve 6 & The Sugi Tap

The OFFICIAL annoucement is here!!!

Eve 6 returning to the world of music...

Hey boyz and girlz,
So here's the big news. You probably figured it out by the title, but yes, Eve 6 is coming back. After a 3 year hiatus, we're getting our stuff together to get out there and play for you all once again. We've given it a lot of thought and ultimately decided the best thing to do would be to make more music as Eve 6. There isn't a defined plan for a new album yet, but one will eventually be forthcoming.

To start with we'll play some shows, simple as that. The first one is actually two short weeks away at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia (Oct. 20th). However we have been told that this show is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, just students at the university. We would love nothing more than to see all of you crammed onto the quad at this nice little college, but not to worry, you'll see us soon. If you happen to live in the LA area we're also playing a benefit for the Donate Life Foundation on October 26th with Alex Band from the Calling and others. Check here http://www.myspace.com/donateliferocks1 for more information.

At this time, Jon Siebels will not be returning as our stalwart guitar player. Things are cool between us all though. We talked to him about this, and he's decided to focus on his new band, Monsters are Waiting, and on his career as a producer here in Los Angeles. We've worked out the necessary arrangements, and he's given us his blessing to carry on the name in his absence. Our pal Matt Bair from Band Camp will be handling guitar duties at these shows. Make him feel welcome!

As some of you might know, Max and Tony had a little side project called the Sugi Tap. This is being put on hold indefinitely, but check out our online EP before it becomes unavailable. Go to www.myspace.com/sugitap to listen to some tunes and purchase the EP. It will only be available for a few more weeks, so get it while you can. We will be playing a few of these songs at future Eve 6 shows.

That's it for now. This myspace page will undergo a serious renovation soon, and we'll give out information as it becomes available. Check out the excellent Eve 6 Media HQ fansite (www.eve6mediahq.com) for further information and discussions with the fan community. We can't wait to see you out there!

The Sugi Tap Version

The Sugi Tap is dead....long live the Sugi Tap!!!

Make him feel welcome! We've been spending a lot of time writing and producing for other artists, so that along with the return of Eve 6 means that the Sugi Tap is paused indefinitely. Thanks to everyone that purchased the EP. It will only be available on the Snocap Music Store and our own online store for a short time more, so if you haven't picked up a copy do it now before it becomes unavailable. We'll put up one last bonus track for the remaining few weeks. Look for us to play some of the tunes at future Eve 6 shows.

That's it for now. Everyone should go and friend us at myspace.com/eve6 -- this is where we'll be spending most of our online time now. See you out there!

SnoCap Music Store, Alternative Addiction and Other News

Just wanted to stop in with a quick update on The Sugi Tap. Since many people were complaining about issues with the SnoCap music store when purchasing the EP, Tony has set up their own music store. You don't have to be in the U.S and you don't have to be a PayPal member! Now, most people should be able to buy it (except for those of you who don't have credit cards). Check out the new Sugi Tap music store at: www.thesugitap.com

In other news, Pick Up The Pieces is up to #17 on the Alternative Addiction top 20 singles list. We have to CONTINUE to spread the word and get them higher. Rock the vote people! We need them to crack the top 10 one of these weeks. The higher they go, the longer they stay up there, the more new people that get to hear the amazing sounds of The Sugi Tap!

One final tidbit of news - this news of the Eve 6 variety! It looks like Eve 6 FINALLY has an official MySpace page after all of these years. They have added 5 songs to the player and are adding friends to their list by the DROVES, so make sure to get on MySpace and add them as a friend. It is definitely interesting to see Eve 6 get involved with the MySpace community after nearly 3 years of being broken up, but it is good to see. From the number of plays their music player is receiving and also the number of friends they already have, it looks like people haven't totally forgotten Eve 6. I don't know what to make of all this, but I love to see the comments on the page saying such great things about the band we all know is one of the best and most under-appreciated modern rock/alternative bands of 90's and early millenium.
